Night Glow 01 - Soft.jpg

The prints that you will see on here are created from photographs taken of my relief carvings before I frame them. Once transferred to the computer I use Lightroom to manipulate the colours and effects before importing them into Powerpoint where I construct the final image.

After some considerable trial and error I've decided on two brilliant mediums to present these prints on. The first is Permajet's Fine Art Titanium Lustre. This is a Silver Metallic Paper which produces a beautiful finish on a heavyweight 280gsm silver resin coated base. It's brilliant for images with vibrant colours, deep blacks or metallic components. The border looks pale silver rather than white which is worth considering if you are going to mount the whole of the printed image. I say that because you may choose to arrange your mount just around the coloured area. None of my prints are limited editions so losing the text and\or the printed border are possible options to alter the appearance or the final size of the framed piece.

The second medium is Hahnemuhle's Fine Art Pearl. This is a 285gsm bright white, cellulose-based paper with a delicately textured surface and smooth, silky feel. It meets the highest industry standards regarding density, colour gamut, colour graduation and image sharpness while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper.

These images can also be printed on Canson's Infinity Museum Pro Canvas. This is top grade 385gsm professional canvas. Manufactured with a high quality 100% pure cotton canvas base and coated with a new advanced technology of microporous coating. The coating is specially designed for professional applications that require true Fine Art reproductions of precision images with a very high resolution. This is my favourite finish just because of the texture. But, it's difficult to mount in the same fashion as papers so it will need to be ordered with a large border so that it can be stretched over a frame in the normal canvas fashion. This is not something that I can do I'm afraid.
